Greeting !

Since the convention is now less than 8 eight weeks away I wanted to let you know what's happening.

First off for Sci-Fi miniature games John Hurtt is bringing Capital Ship Combat. Models range from Micro Machine X-Wings to a 6 foot long Star Destroyer. As someone posted elsewhere this is a game where you can walk in the board. Pictures are at the MegaCon site.

Keeping science fiction in mind we will have some of the cast from both the original Star Trek and Next Generation appearing. Nichelle Nichols, Levar Burtonm and Brent Spinner are in, but Jonathan Frakes looks to have dropped out when he was told people were going to beat him up over what he did to Thunderbirds. Star Wars is repesented by Billy Dee Williams, Ray Park and Peter Mayhew to name a few. Plus there's many more media and comic guests.

Back to gaming, Rob Adams will be running two Ambush Alley games on Saturday in the main hall.

We will also have a bunch of RPG and a couple of LARPs. There'll be Pathfinder, D&D Living Forgotten Realms and D&D 3.5, Shroud of the Ancient, Legends of the Shining Jewel, Shadowrun and a few more.

We'll have Magic CCG on Saturday and Yu-GI-Oh on Sunday.

Boardgames on Friday (Arkham Horror) and Chip Coffey and some of the Jax Garrison running games on Saturday.

Some space still available so if you are interested in running something let me know. The rule is still, you run a game and that day's admission is free.

By the way, Rapier 2010 is scheduled for June 4-6, 2010 at the Clarion Airport Hotel in Jacksonville.
