"CHICAGO EXPRESS : Railroading Game"Session 1, 9am-1pm, 5 players, Game Master Philip Shea
Executives of the B&O, C&O, Penn Central, and NY Central railroads vie [that is, stab each other, and competitors, in the back] to be the first to get their steel rails westward to Chicago in the late 1800s. The sharpest railroading execs seek maximum return on their investments in this high-stakes business game lasting about an hour. [Maybe multiple games in the morning session?]
"INTO THE BOCAGE : NORMANDY 1944"World War II, 28mm, Skirmish, Disposable Heroes rules
Session 1, 9am-1pm, 4-8 players, Game Master Andy Thurlow
Elements of the 101st Airborne Division are tasked to take a critical road junction on the Carentan Peninsula. A 2nd SS Panzer Division unit has other plans for the 101st. [If you're nice to Andy, he might run a 2nd scenario in the afternoon session!]
"THE MINSTREL BOY TO THE WARS HAS GONE : THE BATTLE OF MONS, 1914"World War I, 28mm, Skirmish, Price of Glory rules
Session 2, 2pm-6pm, 4-8 players, Game Master Frank Frey
In honor of the 96th anniversary of the Battle of Mons [August 23], this scenario represents an attack by the Brandenburg Fusiliers and Brandenburg Jagers on the positions of the 2nd Royal Irish Regiment; basically, some of the best units of the German Imperial Army tangle with "The Old Contemptibles."
"MORNING RAID ON FLUGZEUG FIELD"World War I Aerial combat, Wings of War rules
Session 2, 2pm-6pm, up to 16 players, Game Master Jim Amrein
At a German airdrome, a morning flight of raiders is being prepped. Before the German planes get airborne, a flight of British, American, and French fighters and bombers are spotted inbound. The Germans scramble in desperation to intercept and scatter the allied flight group before [too much] damage is done.
HOPE TO SEE YOU THERE!
